Hospitals are places where various pathogens are highly concentrated, so the weak link of hospital disinfection and isolation has become the main reason for nosocomial cross-infection. The bedside table in the ward is one of the utensils that are in frequent contact with patients and medical equipment. All hospitals have adopted necessary cleaning, disinfection and sterilization measures for medical equipment.
A study selected the bedside tables of 41 patients with bacterial infection (group 1), the adjacent bedside tables of 25 patients with bacterial infection or the bedside tables in the same ward (group 2), and the bedside tables of 45 patients with no bacterial infection in the ward (group 3). Group), 40 cases of bedside cabinets (group 4) after disinfection with “84″ disinfectant were sampled and cultured. The results showed that the average total number of bacteria in groups 1, 2, and 3 were all >10 CFU/cm2, while the bacterial pathogenic bacteria in group 4 were detected. The rate was significantly lower than that in groups 1, 2, and 3, and the difference was statistically significant. Among the 61 pathogenic bacteria detected, Acinetobacter baumannii has a higher detection rate, followed by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Monospores.
The bedside table is a frequently used item. The main sources of bacterial contamination on the surface are human body excretion, article pollution and medical activities. The lack of effective cleaning and disinfection is the main reason for the pollution of the bedside table. Standardize the environmental management of wards, strictly distinguish clean areas, semi-clean areas, and polluted areas to keep indoor air and the environment clean; in addition, strengthen the management of visiting escorts, reduce visits by outsiders and conduct health education in a timely manner to reduce environmental pollution At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the hand hygiene education of medical staff, patients and accompanying staff to prevent cross-contamination of environmental surfaces due to unclean hands; later, hygienic surveys on environmental surfaces will be carried out from time to time, and each department will focus on the monitoring results and the characteristics of the undergraduate room. Develop proper disinfection and isolation measures.
In short, taking standardized cleaning and disinfection measures, strengthening environmental monitoring, and timely rectification of weak links can effectively prevent the occurrence of nosocomial infections.
